Hi centurion,
No. I haven't seen Boudicca, and for the commentaries I read here on RAT, it can only be seen with a bottle of pure ethanol at hand!
Deepeeka is a very famous company, they made perhaps more than half of the equipment worn by Roman re-enactors in the world!
They don't sell to individuals, you must contact a local dealer to buy their products.
It\'s all an accident, an accident of hands. Mine, others, all without mind, from one extreme to another, but neither works nor will ever.

Salve Aitor,
LOL, ethanol is right based on the discussions threads on RAT Thanks for the info on Deepeeka, Aitor! When I start to research and purchase late Roman equipment, I may obtain several of their products from other dealers.
Regarding the use of your image without permission. That sort of thing really annoys me. I work as a book jacket designer at a publisher and deal with acquiring images all the time. As an artist myself, I take image rights very seriously. Authors are always trying to tell us to use some photo without permission from the rights holder. I can usually put a stop to this because if we don't have permission from the photo's owner it is difficult to acquire of a good quality version of that image. However, as you've found already, it is very difficult to stop the person who has the original photo/film from selling it off to others without the model's consent. I suggest refusing to work with that film company in the future and encourage other reenactors to do the same. I'm sure they won't care about angry letters and they know the expense and trouble of a lawsuit would not be worth your while.
If you look through the Legio XX website,

www.larp.com/legioxx/

you'll find a long list of equipment suppliers including several Deepeeka dealers. (There are many out there, but these ones are known to be pretty dependable, and are familiar with Roman reenactors so are more likely to be able to help you get good stuff, as opposed to the usual junk dealers who will sell anything to anyone.)

The various pages of the Online Handbook have recommendations at the bottom. Some of the Deepeeka gear is great, some is iffy but can be improved, and some is still very bad and should be avoided. Caveat Emptor!

Don't even get me started on the lack of accuracy in movies and TV shows....
Hi, Thanks for the Legio XX site! Buyer beware is right! LOL, I will not mention anything more about historical accuracy I am sure we all have some interesting horror stories to tell based on the many false depictions of Roman history in film
The problem with this series is that it was made by the History channel instead of the Discovery channel!
