How did they managed to get an amphibious boat for that video?!

Quote:How did they managed to get an amphibious boat for that video?!Although you've been there twice, I can understand why you don't recognise the spot. It's at Archeon. This was shot while there was still a big field behind the park, with grass and even a small wood. Once, this was meant to become the legionary fortress, and for years it lay derelict. They had a landing craft 'beached' there for the multi-period events I think.. That's all gone now, has been for years in fact. When Archeon went bust for the first time this land was taken back by the investors. They're building houses there. This is what it looked like back in 2005:

When I show the video to my family, the first comment of my brother was:
Where is the discipline? What s**t of formation is that? Until they make the shield wall with the archers behind... I can imagine him in the future, yelling from the croud:  Iago! You didn´t heard the centurion orders? I have to write them in a sign?

I am astonished about that.
Great! Bravo! Absolutely funny. I would like to know some technical details about the shooting, I mean about photography mainly, because who shooted that movie "knows" how to get footage and treat the photographic parameters.

Hi,
I made the video during a multi period event at the Archeon, a Dutch archaeological theme park. A WW2 group had manufactured a fake amphibious boat and I was there with our Roman group the Gemina Project and a camera. It was just a matter of improvising and trying to remember the details from Private Ryan. In the edit room I cut the footage and put the sounds from the movie in it. Glad you liked it. Marc Sanders
