Thanks Martin for your detailed explanation. Unfortunately that doesn't help me much because I'm not a student (and never was). I guess the only library I have access to would be the Staatsbibliothek. I tried to get these articles via subito but without luck so I posted it here hoping that someone might have them in digital or print version (payment for copies or postage etc. is not a problem).

That is not true, normally. Here in Munich e.g. anyone can get into the university libraries just by presenting an ID (Personalausweis) for looking things up and copying in the library where the books are actually accessible. A reader card for the Staatsbibliothek also allows to actually order books from the magazines of the university libraries. The same seems to be true for Hamburg -> http://www.sub.uni-hamburg.de/faq.shtml#05b , check the links for who gets a reader's card. Stabi and university libraries seem to share the same system. You can also email them with questions if you have any. Register with them and you'll have access to the very articles you're looking for, as well as hundreds of thousands more. Libraries are your friend :-) )
