Have you seen the cataloge of the "Hispania gothorum" exhibition at Toledo last year?

Excellent work, Lucius :o

Will you be making fibulae like these ?

The closest thing I could find online was this broochfrom Raymond's Quiet Press.

I'm starting to develop an interest in Visigothic weapons and jewelry.

So, I'm going to recommend that Osprey publish a book called "The Visigoths : 376 AD to 711 AD" (Men-At-Arms series)

Very nice work, Cezar, and you too, Olibrius.

@Cezar: did you make the cells with acid etching? If so, what acid and what concetration do you use?

Jef,

The first picture is made with etching. Usually i use chlorure of iron; it's less dangerous as acids like nitric, clroridric, etc... The bit is less quick, too.

The other one is made superposing two plates of the same material soldered, the upper one with the drawing cut with the jeweller's saw.

Ejemm... Off topic...What about some pictures of Hedderheim helmet? Big Grin

Olibrius,

I have seen your sword in the french forum. C'est superbe! A lot more of work, because you cut the garnets! What kind of saw you use?
