Congrats to Best Camp
#1
Folks,
I just wanted to extend my personnel congratulations to the Members of Legio XI, Legio VI Ferrata, Saul and David form the DC Area, Julius form Louisville, Martin and Paul and anyone else that I might be missing that made the History of War Timeline Event in Kennesaw GA this past weekend such a fantastic event to include them winning the Best Camp/display award.

The crowds were huge, especially on Sunday and it was a real joy to see folks very surprised to see elements of the Roman Army camped out and drilling about. The Romans out numbered all other time period impressions/groups to include the three separate American Civil War Groups. In fact, I'd wager a few bucks that even combined they were still outnumbered.

Congrats to all that came and made the event such a fun and great time.

Thanks to all for letting me be part of this event and part of such a great brotherhood.

It was a super team effort. Thanks loads to everyone who came in from out of town (like you, Mike) since it made all of the difference.

Crying?!? There's no crying in Norman/Viking/Roman reenacting......

(except maybe in Mobile, just after the parade.)

It was the girls, your Centurioship, sir. Remember, we had women on the march, and they have very beautiful and tender little feetsies. Don't beat them, please, your most magnificient honorableness, because they'll just smack their paterae on their husbands heads, and you'll have more guys on sick call at the next muster. Confusedhock:
