Auxilery Troops

Auxiliary troops are people who has been captured from the Roman Battles.They have been forced to or they would get killed.If i had given the wrong information please tell me

Whilst there were undoubtably auxiliary troops who were recruited into the army after they had been defeated - not unusual after an imperial barbarian bashing expedition - the majority appear to have been recruited from within the empire (or clients) on a fairly voluntary basis (the reward was good) or as a form of tribute instead of taxation (the Batavians IIRC).

Some also started out as troops in the employ of clients who were taken over and incorporated into the Roman army when the cleint was suppressed. (As an aside a whole legio started out this way as well IIRC)

Jonathan. Again, this forum has a search function. Type in "Auxiliaries" or "auxilia" and you will get a whole lot of interesting information about these troops. By reading all the search results you will quickly learn that the information you provided above is not only utterly wrong, but also completely unnecesesary, since Auxiliaries have been discussed here on this forum to a much deeper level of information than you provide us with.
It is like with the "vote" option. First think, then act. As far as general postings here are concerned: First use the search function, then post, if you have additional questions or any NEW information based on EVIDENCE. Don´t spam the forum with unnecessary or wrong information. Please read the forum rules again, especially # 4.
