Remember the corinthian capitels are always asociated with a basis.

Problem with that basis is that it isn't as easy to create it. Therefore I didn't do it. The same goes for the pilars in the back. They should also have lines on them. There are some other minor errors in the design, if you would be wholy authentic, but I'm satisfied with this compromis, and like the result. So for re-enactment purposes I think it is of good use.

Pictures of the painting process are comming soon. My new studieyear just started, so I've less the time I had last weeks.

You can make a less sotifiscated basis. Probably you can make it easyly with some wooden parts (look at an artist shop).

It's a pity that a very good working like yours have that fault, i think...

Pained enough one of the pilars was damaged last week, so I have to replace it. Here a photograph after I put the first layer of paint onto the building.



Note that the unpainted pilar has to be replaced, and is only put in place again for this photograph and holding the roof in place.

Okay, now a first layer of white paint is done, I started to work out the whole painting. Here is the shame I gonna use:

First the capitals will be painted like these:


Al 4 pilars will be white and white. The groundplate will be painted with grey tiles. Roof becomes red. The triangle in the roof will be just white (I will probably add another painting in there, if I've finished the main painting in the back of the lararium), and the other layerd stucture of the roof will get the same colors as the capitals. (they will be white/licht blue/yellow)

Well I like it, and speaking of faults; an other big fault is that this lararium is not made of stone, so this lararium is not authentic, but quite a lot easier to transport.
