Macedonian Silver Shields
Quote: Are they shown in Any Art pieces , being Worn By Infantry??

There is a type of helmet I have seened called an "early boetian" type that is fairly common on vase depictions of Athenians. It's like the boetian, but with a simple brim as oposed to the highly convoluted brim- which seems to mimic a civilian hat, as does the pilos.

A Spartan, being asked a question, answered "No." And when the questioner said, "You lie," the Spartan said, "You see, then, that it is stupid of you to ask questions to which you already know the answer!"

Hey guys, love this thread (been playing the Macedonian campaign in Rome:Total Realism).

<=== I have a new avatar I created which is based off Johnny's great Hypaspist image here:

Any other ideas for Hypaspist shields?
