I bet Ray Winstone's Beowulf has a strong Cockney accent.

Isn't Hopkins a bit short to be playing a viking?

Yes. He played Beowulf in the movie Beowulf and Grendel in 2005.

I'm of two minds about this version of Beowulf. From what little I've seen of the trailer, it seems to get the same stupid anachronistic treatment King Arthur-based movies usually do in terms of weaponry/armour/accoutrement accuracy. I thought that Beowulf & Grendel, while it could have used a slightly bigger budget for some things, was basically spot on. I'll go see it, don't doubt it, but I'll likely not be satisfied, simply because Im a curmudgeon.
