Because the beloved director is dead, one photo from The Seventh Seal. Of course, it is no coincidence that I choose a picture from that movie, which is timeless and -in my view- still tells us something about love and death. He will be missed. I didn't care much for his later work, but the early films were wonderful, especially THE SEVENTH SEAL, which is one of the cinema's handful of true masterpieces, always on everyone's top ten list and arguably the finest film ever made.
