I think it is time to give my two pence to some discussions, and maybe I will find some brothers in arms, too.

I started to study pre- and early history in 1995, and at the same time I joined the auxilliary group COH IIII VIND in Germany ([url:9r2ioydj]http://www.vindeliker-kohorte.de[/url]) as auxilliay archer. To get my student life financed I started to produce replicas of archaeological finds in bronze casting, what I still do today ([url:9r2ioydj]http://www.replik.de[/url]). That´s NO advertisement!!! :oops:

In reenactment I was soon promoted to regular soldier and to optio in 2002. After the retirement of our last chairman I became centurio and a lot of responsibility, too. Today our group consits of ca. 30 Persons and we are one of the oldest roman groups in germany, founded in the 80s. We are well known at all lager museum-events and roman days in germany. I think I will find a lot of old friends here...

Hello to everyone my name is Ando, or as I'm known here Romanus.

Well let's get started then I'm from the UK and at the moment I'm between jobs. I've been intrested in all things Roman since I was a child, although more recently I've become more and more interested in the history of the late Roman and Byzantine Empire.

I suppose I'm here to hopefully learn a bit more and expand my understanding of the workings of the empire and it's armies.
