If the Azzuri would play like decent footballers and not like a bunch of attention grabbing injury fakers, then I'd consider rooting for them.
Yes, I'm still bitter about the Aussie game.

Sorry, but mandatory is mandatory.

No way, Jose, I just went barbarian for the duration. The Italian team's a bunch of cry babies, "Ooh, I tripped. The pain, the pain!".
No Scaevola in that lot, their ancestors would hang their heads in shame

injury fakers are a shame somehow and I strongly hate those behaviours 90%.
The other 10% is something I like a lot, and are some exceptional "drama plays" that sometime occurs so big, so eclatant that are really funny and the best is when this play means a penalty or a goal. Let me mention the so famous Maradona "hand of God" (ok, not an injury play). So you can insult the referee, etc. etc.
It is part of this "imperfect" sport where very often who win is not the best.

Yeah. That was a big "What was the ref smoking" call. And I'm still bitter about it too.
Maybe if refs would start handing out passifers and diapers instead of red and yellow cards, the players would cut it out.

Don't mention Maradonna's name to me. Dirty cheatin' ponce. Argentina, now they're our real bitter footie arch-rivals since the 60's.

If soccer really was like this then you just might pick up the American market...that is if you had half dressed cheerleaders.
