Is he into history? If he is what about reenactment, not exactly a sport but i'd imagine it'll keep you pretty fit.

He's into the history, but not re enactment so much. I have taken him to a couple of shows and markets to try and fuel his interests though.
However, my 'other half', is an archer and bowyer and we've been encouraging him to take this up, and he's going to have some lessons soon to see how he gets on. This may well lead to re enactment eventually
You have to be careful not to try and push youngsters into things as many times it can have the reverse effect (I know, I was a teenager once :wink: )
There's a fine line between 'encouraging' and 'pushing' them

Yeah, I know what you mean, I think archery would be fun, i've only done it 2 or 3 times when I was in Scotland though.
