The big problem with this stuff in the press is the view taken by the general public, to all of us there is a certain amount of humor in the story, however to the public this stuff which includes "pointy things" is potentially a dangerous situation and must therefore be, dare I say it "CONTROLLED" It is lucky for us as re-enactors that the man wasn't found guilty, if he had, the argument of the health and safety lobby would be further control on our hobby. This as I am sure all would agree would be a further pain in the neck.
