fatty gnomes for Jasper
1 hoplite, given a snappy new haircut with green stuff and some additions to the cloack you can't really see. Milliput cobbles, which seemed a better idea than they were, seeing as how when they dried they all fell off and had to be stuck on with superglue anyway. Spear was steel rod bashed flat and filed to a point.

Black undercoat, plus removal of the monument which i should have realised was going to be totally in the way anyway.

Blocked in all the colours, with a couplwe of thin coats of each until they covered the undercoat well, which took ages for the crappy citadel scab red. Bronze got an base of brown to warm up the final result

Everything got a wash of ink. On the base it was nut brown, and the hoplite a 3:2:1 mix of water, purple ink and flesh wash. Looks v. crap

Did the flesh, using a goden brown(the base colour) a pink flesh and very light flesh colour. Again very thin coats, makes it easy to blend in the highlights. Takes ages and when you smear it all over the ink between the fingers is v. frustrating. eyes painted in as wellusing v. pale grey, then pupils added with a micropen

Highlights on the clothes and equipment as per the flesh, cobbles dry brushed.

Metal area got the same treatment with metallic paint seeing as how i can't handle non metallic metal tchnique properly.

this was fun to do, messy dry brushing on the blue, the thin washes on the stone, which is real life is v. realistic.

All done completed with static grass

Apologies for the lack of colour, perils of a cheap scanner, but hopefully if you're interested at all you get the general idea.
