I am about to put together my first balteus. I have the attached fittings. Pugio hangers and apron studs to be coming from Clang Armory.
My question is the apron. Should it be draped over the top of the belt, sewn behind the belt, constructed in some other way?
My impression is LEGIO XIIII Gemina Martia Victrix, early to mid first century.
