There are photos showing the backs of galeri, and these reveal rings like those on strap-on greaves, usually two on each vertical side of the shoulder hollow and one at its top. Apparently they were laced to the manica, which was usually depicted as supported by a single strap slanting across the chest and beneath the right arm. Note that the galerus was worn with the fabric/leather manica, and just possibly with the segmented manica, but never with the mail or scale manica.
