I realize I'm a day late but....
August 22 392 AD—Arbogast elevates Eugenius as Emperor, after the mysterious death of Valentinian II in Gaul. Eugenius was a christian, but was also the last emperor to support Polytheism.
August 22 408 AD—Stilicho, great Roman general was executed and large numbers of barbarian wives and children were slain by the local Romans. As a result huge portions of barbarian armies flocked to Alaric for protection. Within 2 years Rome would be sacked.
