Ribchester celebrates its annual invasion by the legions on the 10th and 11th July 2010
Legio II Augusta and Comitatus will be once again supporting the festival. Comitatus will be bring five horses to the smallest arena of our season  We will be doing an early to mid Imperial cavalry sports display, and our standard late Roman show.
This is apparently the largest (only?) Roman Festival in Lancashire. Perhaps the constant rain and gloom has something to do with this?
