Actually, I am serious, but in a joking manner and hoping not to offend the natives....
But I agree entirely with your assessment.
There are always pros and cons to weigh up.
I think the pros of the eastern trade routes would have been partly responsible for the dogged
attempts at taking the eastern Parthian provinces.
