The latest issue of *Current Archaeology* (No.178) includes a feature on the recent work at Vindolanda, complete with a photo of the hair-moss 'helmet crest' and one of the 2001 writing tablets detailing the issue of new equipment (it says 'cavalry lances' here: hmmm...) and associated prices. Some other stuff gets mentioned, all pretty much run-of-the-mill for Vindolanda;-)<br>

The same issue includes two cart/chariot burials (Wetwang and Newbridge, near Edinburgh).<br>
