For the point I will use a Fullum for this but it will work for Pompeiis ect. Grind as close to the point as you can;
Then this is the only time you will grind over the centre line do one side first, or you can take a file to it just take a bit of with the grinder then finish by file again you are going down to the 1mm mark.
Once you have done one side redraw the line and the other side this is what you are working to now.
Once you have done all sides this is what you are left with;
You can leave the point for now and concentrate on the rest of the blade
