Roman Canteen

While visiting Khersonesos, (Sebastopol) I saw a lovely ceramic canteen dated to 300+ BC. It looked almost like a 1860 ACW canteen. I have a photo. I wonder if they might not have had something similar in the Roman period, which has never been identified or was just lumped with the pottery pieces..... <p>"Just before class started, I looked in the big book where all the world's history is written, and it said...."
