Embosing and Tinning Scabbard plates ect ?
#40
I have to say that Lvcivs Alfenvs Avitianvs has not got it wrong, this is where he mentions about the blanking out method. The raised relief figures have to be blanked out, this can even be done with paint. Then when the tinning or silvering is done the paint is then removed, this gives a background field of silver or tin, with of course the raised figures nice and yellow. I would recomend silver as opposed to tin, for silver is more stronger.
