Representation of Auxiliary soldiers in museums

Hi Mike,

Museum "het Valkhof" in Nijmegen, the Netherlands has an extensive Roman section and has added two representations to their exposition not to long ago, infantry and cavalry (with horse!). They are very popular exhibition pieces. What is very nice about their representation is dat they have displayed part of the actual artifacts on which the reconstruction was based.
I searched for a picture for you, but couldn't find one while typing a reply. I suggest you contact Drs. Jannemarie van der Brand of their Marketing & Public Relationsdepartment at [email protected] . I have found her most helpfull in the past. Their conservator is also approachable, I don't have his e-mail handy.
