But the proposed discovery would be an unlikely one, because Jewish sources (Flavius Josephus, a couple of Talmudic lines) and Pagan sources (Suetonius, Pliny, Tacitus, and perhaps Dio's reference to Flavius Clemens) all agree that Jesus was and remained a Jew.
