Well the book reads easy and is a good start for the late roman army. But after it I wanted to read a lot more about that period. It left me a bit with the feeling that we know so little of the late roman army!
But also read the link of the review. I also have a book of Elton (Warfare in Roman Europe, AD 350-425) and that I liked better reading.
It's worth buying I should day.
