There is little to add to perfect reply of Andy above. It is hard to believe that today somebody can believe in "historical accuracy" of Hollywood movies, despite there are so many excellent informations on this subject easily available on this web and many others.
Also check this web on recommended books. Sometimes "alot of books" tells nothing about quality. There are many poor books...unfortunately.
The guys from Cornbrigde reenacment are good, which we cannot say about the guys from Gladiator movie. :evil:
I think that reenacment members now wish to slaughter you :?
