Khairete,
I have the Michael Wood 'In Search of Troy', I originally watched that on television and a downloaded 'Ancient Warriors -Spartans' which features members of Legio XIV [url:1s1j06uh]http://www.legion-fourteen.com/greeks.htm[/url]!!!
The 'Real Olympics' looks interesting......I used to love 'Ben Hur' for the chariot race, gory as it was....it is still one of the best depictions I have seen on film!
Do you know that the first women to win the Olympic chariot race was a Spartan Princess called Cynisca .....? In 396bce she won in a four horse chariot and again in 392bce
There was an inscription at Olympia, declaring that she was the only female to win the wreath in the chariot events at the Olympic Games
regards
Arthes

The enemy is less likely to get wind of an advance of cavalry, if the orders for march were passed from mouth to mouth rather than announced by voice of herald, or public notice. Xenophon
