Quote: A Mycenaean chariot could be appearing, but we need to hear from someone with an experienced pair of carriage ponies, who would be willing to re-train them to chariot. I know a bloke who could stand and pose next to the driver...
If anyone has any further questions, please ask.
Here in the US there was recently a documentary on a history channel about Helen, and went into detail about some of the tactics of the era. An English gentleman had reconstructed a Mycenaean and Hittite Chariot to be driven around on a field somewhere in Turkey, where they shot the scene. I'm curious if this may be the same fellow? For the life of me, I can't remember his name, but he supposedly specialized in Ancient weaponry...
I wish I could go. I'd love to show up in my Warrior VaseMycenaean kit, which will be finished by that time (before I move on to my next Mycenaean panoply!) But, it's too short notice for me!
If the event goes well, will there be plans for future events of the same calibre?
Cheers!
