Do you own a copy of Michel Feugere's Weapons of the Romans? On page 121, there are a number of slides shown (drawings 1, 2, 6, 7 & 8) , also with the double slits. These are not dolphin slides, and are a mixture of iron, bone or antler. They were found at Vimose and Saalburg. Drawing 1 and 8 are debatable, the second slit is much smaller. 2, 6 and 7 though have similar slit proportions to the dolphin slides. The plot thickens...
