I suggested hide glue as I didn't know if pine tar glues was used. I've used pitch as a glue on primitive arrows using knapped points
I read somewhere(maybe Hardy) that hide glue mixed with Verdigris was used on medieval arrows.
I would think that as hide/ fish bladder glue was used in composite bow manufacturing that it could conceivably be used on fletching.
But I have never seen any reports of test done on the Dura arrows in reference to glue.
