There was, a few years ago, Manley's "AD 43: the Roman Invasion of Britain" which considered whether the invasion route was via Hampshire rather than Kent (probably on a par with "The Piercebridge Formula" for controversy!) which I seem recall (I no longer have the book) cited some finds of Roman military equipment at Fishbourne.

Unfortunately, no one has added any detailed review on Amazon and I coulld not fund anything on Bryn Mawr which is usually a good source of reviews. The book is mentioned in an ARA bulletin of 2003, see page 4.

Less controversially, Creighton, "Britannia: the Creation of a Roman Province" is quite a detailed study of pre-invasion links - you can get quite a bit from the preview, just search "Fishbourne":
