You keep going back to sleeves as evidence of a textile musculata. Go a dip a t-shirt in glue, let dry, and tell me how flexible it is.
Have you seen Dan's Aggemenon cuirass reproduction, it's amazing, made of bronze, and has sleeves.
The artist could have been trying to imitate older looks in his work and it could have very little relevance to the actual gear worn at the time the work is contemporary with. How many classical revivalist sculptures are there that are trying to show the Roman Empire but were created centuries after?
You really just keep running the same arguments around in circles with different people. It seems like you are more concerned with convincing everyone you are right than actually listening to the opposing viewpoints.
