Cheers, Robert.
We're using a variety of techniques at the moment: for quick & cheap handmade looks at a distance, (v. good for 'work' tunics that live under armour, some are painting them and similarly some have plain roundels with tablet weave.
Mine is machine woven geometric Greek key & floral patterns, sewn on and our member Venedotius is producing many tunics with a variety of machine woven figural designs similar to the Victoria & Albert collection, mostly sourced serendipitously from textile suppliers who happen to have appropriate designs - mine was from a random cloth shop in North Shields I wandered into after visiting Arbeia. This is becoming the new standard.
A few of us now have hand-embroidered tunics and at least one has been completed in an authentic frame-woven manner by our member Sabina - it's a thing of great beauty.
