No sandals with togas?

Well the Toga was an official garb, and normally worn by roman citizens from a certain age on and for official purposes. Also Romans normally wore some kind of boot or closed shoes outside the house eg. the calceus. Sandals were deemed ugly and only seen as a house shoe. Some rich romans even had slaves that carried their "house-sandals" when they visited someone.

I hope I got the facts right.
