Good luck with whatever you use to clean your brass. I also restore antique fishing rods; and for the metal furnishings I use NEVER DULL "magic wadding" when possible. If the brass or German silver is too dirty/tarnished, then I will use 0000 Steel Wool, the finest grade that doen't scratch like Brasso.
