This study may be the one I have mentioned before conducted at Carlisle hospital (as I understand it). A nurse I met said they'd identified a blood type in Hexham which related to southern Italy. Where the rest of the information/report is I don't know.
It may be worth contacting Professor Haynes bearing in mind your own particular interest.
