Well the first thing that comes to mind is the inconclusive issue of measurements. 16cm is given as the depth of the original helmet the DSC is based on, which seems small to be worn in the manner of a Corinthian. Yet in the same catalogue a Corinthian also had a depth of 16cm. Yesterday I was looking at an Attic which would fit my eldest son. I do believe that some of these helmets were made to be worn as a Corinthian, their shape dictates their function and use, not their classification.

But getting back to the DSC example which we must not get confused with a real Apulo-Corinthian, it is considerably bigger than the original and looks like an archaic Corinthian in shape. If anything I would like it a little longer in the front. But the decoration is very well done.
