Octavian\'s Illyrian Campaigns

Thank you very much!! I read both, and while they still didn't mention particular legions, they did say that there were 8-12 legions involved. They did give me a much better understanding of the campaign. I was especially interested when the Sava River was mentioned, because my great-grandfather grew up on the Upper Sava. It's unfortunate to me that the story of Octavian being the first on the wall of Metelum is probably propaganda, but he still seems to act bravely at the siege, without attempting to emulate Alexander. But then, a lot of generals seemed to want to emulate Alexander, so why not Octavian?
