Native English speakers: grammar question
#28
Hello,

I would like to ask our English natives on RAT for help. I've written an article about the battle of Carrhae and translated it into English. I'm going to publish it on my web site. But while my English is (I think) quite OK for normal communication, it is certainly not good enough for writing and publishing longer texts. And since I have respect for languages, I do not want to spoil English language with my poor skills. :-) Therefore I would like some English native speaker to quickly review the article first. I just want to correct the obvious grammar and most blatant stylistic errors. I don't need to polish it perfectly from the stylistic point of view (that would probably be quite hard and time-consuming). I think it's not necessary to have the text look like from a native speaker. I just want it error-free and understandable.

I'm asking for help on RAT first, because I think some people here might actually be interested in the content of the article itself. So for them it wouldn't be just a boring proofreading of some completely uninteresting text. It's around 20840 words, the original (Czech) text is here.

Once proofread, I'm going to put it on the internet for everybody, who might be interested.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Greetings
Alexandr
