Fancy graphics are a problem if to hire two more graphics programmers they don't hire three historians. (Edit: Perhaps a more realistic example: how many meetings do the designers discuss how best to model history, and how many do they discuss the merits of various graphics technologies or whether flaming pigs are cool enough to eat up a unit slot?)
