Hybiskos lives in warm climate.

Another legend has ti that the sea -nymph Rode daughter of the god of the sea Poseidon
Some folks think she was an older deity dughter of Ocean and Tythie

She married the sun god and gave her name to the island.

Rode is the name of the red hybiskos while the rose is called "rhodon"

I believe there is no "Rhodian rose".
