The most memorable was Schindler's List. It was playing at a little Draught House Cinema (a renovated small town theater where they also serve wine, beer, pizza, etc..). None of my friends were around so I went alone. That probably wasn't the best idea given the dark theme of the movie. Luckily, as I was leaving I ran into a friend who was out on a date. He's a funky Jimmy Buffet kind of character. When he saw the mood I was in, he insisted that there was no way they were letting me go home alone. They dragged me out to a blues club and we ended partying long after closing time. It got my head back on straight, but to this day the sight of a little girl in a pink dress makes me sad.
