We ran into Timohty's professor over on this thread. i'm not sure he would relish an online debate he seems to have sidesteped this one: http://antoninuspius.blogspot.com (which i posted before, but i think its funny).

That thread was not too much a comment on the Professor, more on the Hoplite issue. The professor used the more modern term and Ferrill used the older term. Made me wonder when the change happened, if it really did, etc.
