I actually enjoyed Kingdom of Heaven, but I like his early films even more. :|

BITS of Kingdom of Heaven were spot on. I've been reading Arab accounts of the Crusades and the scene after Hatin with Guy and de Chatillon in Saladin's tent is taken straight from an eye-witness account.

As Dan says, it's supposed to be the Kentish coast, which is where Louis landed his invasion force. There were lots of orange balls on sticks on set to indicate the CGI cut in levels. Given that some of these drifted out to sea at one point, I can only asusme that there's going to be a huge CGI Kraken involved at some point...which will be nice.
