Our VALLI are about 48" long, vary in width though over the last few years we drifted towards narrower, and are made from oak, pine, fir, poplar, birch, ash and we have a few oddities.. one of manzanita and a couple of eucalyptus... most are fir made from 4x4 posts and lumberyard/construction site scrap.
The handles vary too: 5", 6", 7" .. some neatly carved, other crudely
We oil them... linseed oil. They live outside in the weather.
We are close to our goal of 500 and the narrower ones are lots easier to transport and set up.
