When we did the thousand mile march during the Mobile Pompeii Exhibit at Mardi Gras, I was dressed as a civilian, and played around with the people by the streetside...they'd ask "Are you cold?" or "What are you wearing under that tunic?" And I'd answer "Quid dicesne?" or "Qualis verbae sunt?" And almost every time, they'd speak more loudly and slowly, so I would just reply in kind. I thought it was hilarious. Only a few of the more sober spectators got the joke. Oh, well. Good fun, nevertheless.
Good memory picture.
