The first time I saw Blade Runner, I was very, very drunk.
I saw the version without narration. I was amazed at the story.
The next time I saw the film was with the narration, imagine how puzzled I was, and the ending was not what I had remembered. I figured I had been drinking so much that the film was not as I remembered. Only with the multi-version set was my fears of alcoholic revisionism cured.
