Which are the best modern breeds for Roman cavalry horses

Brian, I'm only 43. I find it hard to imagine such a world. But horses are making a come back. I heard some figures on Radio 4 suggesting the number of riders in the UK has increased massively over the past few years. But due to disposable income, not petrol prices!

To look good for the public in a show a small polo pony is hard to beat. You may not hit anything, but you'll look good as you speed past. But I wouldn't swap my Irish cob for anything. Slow and sure wins the race!
